Currie by Brenton MasterPal Palletizing/De-palletizing Machine

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. — Currie by Brenton, powered by ProMach, introduces at Pack Expo 2014 November 2-5 in Chicago engineering changes that increase the throughput of its robotic MasterPal palletizing/de-palletizing system. Speed increases are the result of continued investment in MasterPal, one of the fastest, and most versatile and unique, in terms of capabilities, robotic palletizing systems available today. (Currie by Brenton Pack Expo Booth # N-5427).

The reengineered MasterPal features the same rugged construction it has always had but at a significant weight reduction. These engineering modifications increased MasterPal speed by up to 10 percent. The lower weight end-of-arm MasterPal tool means that for a wide range of applications the FANUC robotic arm can be downsized for cost savings of up to 15 percent. Even before these improvements, MasterPal was one of the highest throughput robotic palletizing/de-palletizing systems available and now it is even faster. MasterPal is rated at up to 500 pounds of product per layer and can de-palletize up to five full layers per minute of almost any type of load.

Not only does the MasterPal palletize and de-palletize full layers of bulk product and cases rather than rows, but also the layers of bulk packaging, principally PET containers, are more stable due to patented slatted-apron technology, which completely supports an entire layer of product from the bottom during loading and unloading. The MasterPal can palletize/de-palletize open or sealed cases, trays, display packs, bundles, and bulk products. In addition to palletizing and de-palletizing, the MasterPal system also handles pallets, top caps, slip sheets, and stretch wrapping.

At Pack Expo an active demonstration will show MasterPal palletizing and de-palletizing RSC cases and shrink wrapped trays on the same pallet. While one layer of cases or trays accumulates, the other layer is loaded onto the pallet, creating alternating layers of RSC cases and shrink wrapped trays. This alternating line approach maximizes palletizing efficiency. The tight-grid capabilities of the MasterPal will be showcased through the alternating layers of RSC cases and shrink wrapped trays.

“We are constantly investing in MasterPal development,” said Jason Bennett, Product Line Manager, Currie by Brenton. “This shows in the overall price/performance of the system and in its visual appearance. One look tells a potential customer that this is a reliable, high quality robotic system. None of the competitors even come close to MasterPal.”
